The hotel-restaurant
You can enjoy a wonderful panorama over the region between Florence and Pistoia. Our hotel is located near Vinci, where it is possible to visit the native house of Leonardo da Vinci, and the Longobard church San Michele in Buriano. In a few minutes you can reach the centre of Quarrata, a quite and cosy town, famous for the production of furniture, linen and embroideries, where you can also visit a wonderful villa.

The atmosphere of Magia and the surrounding hills with their stone housesand enchanting views will make you spend unforgettable moments.
In 10/15 minutes you can reach Poggio Caiano, Bacchereto and Artimino with their wonderful Medici villas. At 15 km, you will find Prato, a famous town for its yarn and textile companies. After 30 km, you will be in Florence, a wonderful city of art,world-famous for its works of art and museums. At 15 km there is Pistoia, a cosy town with its old structure and churches and tree nurseries. At 30 km you will come to Montecatini, a famous town for its curative thermal waters

The Hotel restaurant "Il Rifugio" is located on the hill of Montalbano, at an altitude of 400 metres, in the town of Quarrata, province Pistoia.

You can easily reach it from the motorway Firenze-Mare A12, exit Pistoia. Follow the direction to Quarrata and go past Buriano centre.
