THE COUNTRY HOUSE

Pratovalle country house is in the heart of Valdichiana Valley, in a charming scenery close to historical places like the Etruscan town of Cortona, the Montecchio Castle, the old Medieval towns of Castiglion Fiorentino, Lucignano and Foiano della Chiana, The Pratovalle country house is an old barn restored to four comfortable apartments with air conditioning, dishwasher, oven and satellite tv.

Moreover, in the large communal hall you can relax and have the best of local food. Around the house there is a park with olive trees, cypresses and other long-stemmed plants where it is possible to relax and eat.
At the centre of the park, under the sun and overviewing a beautiful scenery there is a big swimming pool.
Next to the Country house there is the owners’ house for every information and help you need.


THE FARM

The farm is near the small town of Creti, near Cortona; it is surrounded by the slight hills of the Valdichiana Valley. It is situated on a hill from where you can see a beautiful scenery: the typical Tuscan countryside an the small medieval villages of the area. The restored country house is part of the proprietor’s house, an old farm which still produces wheat, sunflowers and vegetables.
The boundaries of the fields are marked by a hundred of olive trees which produce a genuine, good, all-natural olive oil. There is also a small-but-fruitful vineyard which produces a good table wine, distilled with old methods.
Moreover, in the park, you can find cherry trees, walnut trees and alders.

THE APARTMENTS

It is on a hill in the heart of Valdichiana, surrounded by ancient medieval small villages among which Cortona excels. It was born from a careful restoration of an old barn, from which they have obtained four cosy apartments and a wide common salon, where it is possible to relax and taste the typical local products. A wide green space and the swimming pool, located on a natural panoramic terrace, are available for the guests.
LOCATION

Arriving from Motorway A1 exit Valdichiana. Take the Freeway direction Perugia, then after about 3 km take the following exit (Foiano della Chiana – Cortona). 400m after the flyover, turn right direction Fratta-Santa Caterina. After having driven for 4km, follow the indications direction Creti, do not leave the main road and after about 1km you will be on a flyover, after 300m turn right and continue on the unsurfaced road for 700m.
