The origins of the name Limonsia is due to the fact that was used as a winter storage for lemons and other plants which suffered the cold.
The Manor House which dates back to the late seven hundreds, was in the past the country residence of the Conti Carli of Florence and was then passed on to the important Sala family from Lucca and finally at the beginning of the century, to the Lupetti family.

Thanks to wish of the owners to maximize the family assets, in memory of the late Dr. Rino Lupetti who loved this place so much, and thanks to the enthusiasm and hard work of the young owner, the Azienda Agrituristica “la Limonaia” has today become a welcome reality.
