Our farm is nearly 10 hectares, 5 of which are a vineyard, the vines prevalently cultivate by the family, our grapes produce Morellino di Scansano, and we have olives trees, the olives from which are used to produce an excellent olive oil with characteristics typical of the area, which are unique. In our orchard there are mixed fruits of every season. Our garden is always full of fresh vegetables, and fertilizers made of pollen and rabbit manure.
The cuisine for us, being good Maremmani (people from the Maremma area), is very important and we keep typical recipes from the farmers’ world alive, thereby keeping alive the traditions and history of our land.
Among our dishes are: l’acquacotta, tagliatelle, tortelli maremmani, pasta al forno (with all the pasta rigorously being home-made), besides the cinghiale (wild boar) alla cacciatora (our recipe is unique), scottiglia and many other plates, plus many home grown vegetables. |
