Near the ancient water fountain of the Poet, on the hills of Tuscany, it is still possible to enjoy a vacation immersed in the atmosphere of a farm, a fairy tale among the geese and hens, the cows and horses.
Here men, women and animals live and work together to realize a dream of an organic oasis, being as much as possible self-sustainable.
Guests if they like can participate in the farm activities or simply relax in one of the two cosy apartments, which have recently been totally refurbished.
Maya and Cleo, two lively ponies, will provide plenty of entertainment for our youngest guests, always being available for rides and fun. For our older guests our horses Linda and Gina are great for rides and excursions, being so patient and well trained, that even people who might be a little afraid of larger animals will be able to have fun with one of man’s best friends.
The farmhouse complex was built around an old medieval tower, on a sun drenched location at a height of 400 meters (1300 feet).

Though the farm “The Poet” is immersed in surrounding woods and olive trees, it is perfectly situated to offer a variety of daily outings and activities to the guests. Being only 30 km (18 miles) away from Florence, it makes it easy to have a cultural outing to Florence to alternate with the peace of the country side. Nearby there are also numerous, well-marked nature paths for walks, trekking or mountain biking away from traffic roads and starting directly from the complex.

There are 3 apartaments: La Terrazza, il Giuggiolo e Il Portale.
La Terrazza ed il Giuggiolo are located in the restructured barn located near the main farmhouse. Both of them have independent entrances and their own private gardens. If necessary the 2 apartments can be joined together into one.
Il Portale is situated on the ground floor of the farmhouse and has an independent entrance and it’s own private terrace.
“La Terrazza” 65 square meters, sleeps 4+1: kitchen-living room with fireplace, two double room, bathroom, garden and a large panoramic terrace.
“Il Giuggiolo” 60 square meters, sleeps 4: kitchen-living room with fireplace, two double bedrooms, bathroom and garden.
“Il Portale”: 45 square meters, slepps 2+1: open plan kitchen and living area, a double room, large enough to take a third bed, bathroom and private terrace.
As a halting or stopover place for horses and riders there is also available a room with 6 beds, as well as shelter for horses.
Inside the farmhouse, there is a large common room with a chimney also available to guests to share meals and get to know one another.

From North: Leave the A1 motorway at the sign for “Barberino” and follow the signs for Borgo San Lorenzo; from there continue on to Vicchio and Dicomano in the direction of Pontassieve. Six Km after Dicomano, after passing through Contea and Casini, turn right at the sign for “Colognole” and “Monte Giovi”.
Continue uphill for about 1 Km and, at the first hairpin bend (and the red mailboxes), turn left on the gravel road. Follow the main road going uphill for about 700 meters and than keep right, around the house, further uphill. When you reach the fountain “Il Poeta” turn right, and you have arrived. From South: Leave the A1 motorway at the sign for “Incisa” or at the next exit “Firenze Sud”, in both cases follow the signs for “Pontassieve”. At Pontassieve take the road for Forlì and Rufina, 5 Km after passing Rufina and after passing through Scopeti, turn left at the sign for “Colognole” “Monte Giovi”. Then follow the directions described above. get to know one another.
