The COSTA DEI GABBIANI is an unpolluted, green plateau to the extreme South of the Island of Elba.
The Villaggio is in its centre, surrounded by a wide expanse of cultivated and grazing land, orchards, vineyards and gardens. Four hundred and fifty hectares of woods cover the slopes down to the sea.
The coastal area covers 12 km and is filled with beaches, coves and bays hidden between the precipitous cliffs, where thousands of herring gulls nest.
Due to its size the Villaggio can only accommodate a small number of guests however it has a variety of places to stay: the ancient master villa, tastefully transformed into a small hotel, farm apartments, small villas amongst the trees and facing the sea. All the accommodation is equipped with telephone, tastefully furnished, and has all the necessary facilities: kitchen utensils, crockery, bed linen (changed every week); some have heating and barbecues.
Private roads lead the guests to the sea. There are paths that run through the woods and cliffs that offer the chance to come into contact with the wildlife; a gulls nest, the flutter of a partridge, the glimpse of a hare, the jumping wild goats, mushrooms and minerals. The Fattorie (Farms) inherit their names from the plants thatsurround them in the Villaggio, and are encircled by hectares of cultivated land and orchards. They are divided into furnished apartments, situated at approximately 2 km from the cliffs of Punta delle Ripalte, 3,5 km from Remaiolo beach and 4,5 km from the Calanova restaurant.

Hotel

A privatly owned Nineteenth villa restored to its original beauty with period furniture, is now functioning as a small hotel. The sea in the background offers a beautiful setting for the hotel, surrounded by parkland and greenery. A large terrace in front of the hotel enables guests to dine in the open.

Farm of Oleandri
Divided in 8 spacious apartments that vary in sleeping space from 6+2 to a minimum of 2+2. The village market is situated on this Farm.

Farm of Eucalipti
There is a reception area and 13 comfortable apartments on two floors. The apartments vary in sleeping space from a maximum of 4+2 to a minimum of 2+1.

Farm of Tamerici
Composed of three floors, two of which are on ground level, subdivided into 10 apartments. Every comfort is provided for. Sleeping space varies from a max of 6+2 to a minimum of 2+1.

Farm of Ulivi
10 apartments each with its own terrace and barbecue set out on two floors. All have sleeping space fro 4+2.
