In the center of the Tuscan region of Mugello surrounded by hills, dense forests inhabited by wild boars, foxes, deer and in the background are the mountains of the Apennines. Within these religious buildings are kept, in excellent condition, various artistic works, including valuable paintings and sculptures, restored periodically. In addition to sacred art, Borgo San Lorenzo boasts ancient civil architecture such as the Palazzo del Podestà which now houses the library and Praetorian Palace that houses the city hall.
